6. Meeting British students

Whether you are studying alongside British students on the International Study Year or A Level programmes or following an English language course, there are a number of different ways you can meet British people and even make friends with them such as:

  • joining a college activity ( e.g men's and women's football, orchestra, yoga and zumba classes)
  • participating in a conversation class with British students studying French and Spanish
  • joining a club or society in the local area

7. Successful examination results

We are very proud of our students and their achievements. Examination results in A Levels are consistently outstanding; in 2019, in A Levels we achieved a 97.3% pass rate.

Our students have progressed to Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Durham and to many other top universities and conservatoires, including those outside the UK such as Harvard University and the University of Hong Kong.

Our English language examination results are outstanding and have been above national averages for the past three years. Students had 100% success in Cambridge PET and FCE exams in 2019 as did CAE candidates .

Our successful English Language Plus courses now run all year round with no half term breaks so students can join at most times of year.

8. Exceptional Student Support

East Sussex College holds a prestigious Association of Colleges (AoC) Beacon Award for International Student Support.
