Course Overview

  • An intensive, practical and exciting one-year course that prepares you for an art or a design-based university programme.
  • Learn from experienced tutors who work as artists, designers and maker. They will support you throughout your studies and help you develop your creative and analytical skills.
  • Explore a wide range of art and design subjects, including:
    • Fine Art
    • Graphics & Illustration
    • Fashion and Textiles
    • 3D Design
    • Product Design
    • Interior Desing
    • Photography.
  • Many of our students progress to leading universities and specialist art and design institutions in the UK such as Central St Martins, Edinburgh University, Goldsmiths College, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion, Ravensbourne, University of Brighton, University College London (UCL) and the Winchester School of Art.

Please note that the college is closed one staff training day each term. There are no lessons on Saturdays or Sundays.

Entry Requirements

To join this course, you will need:

  • An English language level equivalent to IELTS 5.5 (Academic) or above, with a minimum of 5.0 in each skill area
  • A senior secondary school qualification that is above GCSE level or an equivalent qualification
  • A suitable portfolio of your art, design and craftwork.
