• Unit 1: Principles of Science - covers basic concepts in biology, chemistry, and physics. • Unit 2: Chemistry and Our Earth - explores chemical principles and their environmental applications. • Unit 3: Energy and Our Universe - focuses on energy forms and their roles in the universe. • Unit 4: Biology and Our Environment - examines the interaction between organisms and their environment. • Unit 5: Applications of Chemical Substances - looks at how chemicals are used in various industries. • Unit 6: Applications of Physical Science - applies physics to real-world scenarios. • Unit 7: Health Applications of Life Science - applies biological concepts to health and medicine. • Unit 8: Scientific Skills - develops essential skills for conducting scientific investigations. • Unit 10: World Energy – Explores the applications of energy and resources associated. • Unit 13: Monitoring the Environment - covers the science behind ecosystems and the environment operates. • Unit 18: Designing and making useful devices in sciences – This covers the making of importance scientific devices. Such as a micro balance and a hydrometer. • Unit 21: Electronics in Action – Covers the basic principles of electronic theory with making basic electrical circuits.
Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English or maths at grade 3.
A mixture of internal and external assessments and practical work.
Once you have completed this course, you will achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Marine Science
You can progress on to our L3 BTEC Science alongside an A Level in either Marine Science or Environmental Science.
There may be some additional costs during the course for trips and visits to further your learning.
