If you are passionate about digital creation and enjoy using various software to make products, this course will help you develop a variety of production skills in digital creation. We’ll teach you about website design & development, animation design & development, other software like Adobe and Blender while giving you an insight into the creative industry.
The course will provide you with an introduction to the creative range of digital technologies and help you to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to support a progression to further education and employment within the creative and digital industries.

This exciting Level 2 course is the perfect introduction to the world of digital creation. This course is ideal if you are considering a progression into the creative industries and if you are practically minded.
Throughout the course, you will learn and develop good practical skills using different pieces of software. You will learn about how creative industries work and how to analyse professional creative products. The course content is based on completing projects and creating products.
Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English or maths at grade 3.
You will be assessed based on your coursework, which runs through the year, along with the completion of a Final Major Project. Your work will be externally assessed at the end of the academic year by the UAL awarding body.
Once you have completed this course, you will achieve a Level 2 UAL Creative Media Production & Technology Diploma, with a Pass, Merit or Distinction grade.
Progression: This course will provide a strong base for progression to further study at Level 3, apprenticeships or employment, subject to meeting any entry requirements.
There are no extra costs for this course. However, there will be trips and visits arranged during the academic year that will incur travel and entry, usually no more than £30.
The Level 2 Creative Digital Technologies course is a single year course, designed as a great stepping-stone for people who still need to achieve their GCSEs for English and Maths. This course will teach you a wide range of modern IT and Digital skills, introduce you to designing and developing websites and animations, editing/creating audio as well as developing skills in other software like Adobe and Blender. This course will give you a head start for progression on to our Level 3 Games Development course or our popular Level 3 Animation & Illustration course, as well as Level 3 Esports.
