Year 1 content covers Marketing , People, Operations and Finance focusing on small to medium size business. Year 2 content focuses on Multinationals and international strategy considering financial decisions and global marketing strategies. There are enrichment opportunities to expand your learning such as workshops, educational trips and speakers.
Our general entry criteria to study 3 A-Levels is: Minimum five GCSEs grade 4-9 with English Language or Maths at grade 5. For a mixed Level 3 programme the criteria are: Minimum five GCSEs grade 4-9 with English Language or Maths at grade 4. Subject specific entry criteria apply: A GCSE grade 4 in English Language and grade 4 in Maths
This course is externally assessed through three written exams . Throughout the course there are mini assessments to assess your knowledge and homework to explore the topics further. Individual feedback is designed to help you improve your performance ready for the external assessments.
A Levels are essentially 2 year programmes.
After completing A levels students can go to Univeristy to study a broad range of business related degrees from Marketing; Human Resource Management ; Finance; Event Management, Investment Banking. Other degrees such as Economics; Law ; Animal or Land Managment; Journalism. This course also provides a good introduction for those wishing to pursue a career in business via Advanced Apprenticeships or full time employment such as Sales; Adminstration; Accounting.
Students will need to purchase a course text book £25 plus ansd educational trips
The college organises (and students are encouraged to attend), one day revision courses run by examiners.. Business students can take part in Enterprise Week in November and other national competitions. It is advised students to purchase additional revision materials to support independent study in the run up to the exams.
