When studying on the level 2 Beauty Therapy Technical Diploma you will learn how to perform the following treatments to industry standard and commercial timings. Facials and skincare, manicure/pedicure (including gel polish), waxing, eye treatments, make-up, ear piercing and spray tanning. These are the basic skills required to become a professional beauty therapist, you will also learn supporting anatomy and physiology, health and safety and perform reception duties on our working reception.

When studying on the level 2 Beauty Therapy Technical Diploma you will learn how to perform the following treatments to industry standard and commercial timings. These are the basic skills required to become a professional beauty therapist, you will also learn supporting anatomy and physiology, health and safety and perform recpetion duties on our working reception.
Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English or maths at grade 3.
On the technical diploma you will be assesed as you go on the course, you will be given verbal and written feedback on the treatments you perform and will work towards a final practical exam in the final term. You will also sit a theory exam in the spring. The course is graded as pass, merit, distiction or distinction*
City & Guilds Level 2 Technical Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
After successful completion of this course you can go on to complete your beauty therapy qualifications and study the Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Beauty and Spa Therapy or you can study media make-up or hairdressing to add to your skills.
You will need a beauty therapy uniform and a kit, the cost for both of these is around £400.
