What will I study? The course has been designed to incorporate a strong element of vocational learning to provide young people with the understanding, knowledge and skills identified as necessary for future progression and employment, underpinned by the broad transferable skills that will enable students to demonstrate qualities of adaptability, self-reliance, collaboration, dependability, resilience and imagination.
This course will teach you a wide range of IT and Digital skills, introduce you to a range of specific specialist software to create websites, animations and audio. You could also use other specialist software, Adobe Creative Cloud, Blender and Construct 3 for example. This will give you a head start for progression on to our range of Level 3 Creative Digital and Development courses.
Topics of study: Develop knowledge and practical skills in website design development Develop knowledge and practical skills in animation design & creation Develop knowledge and practical skills in audio Develop practical skills graphic design & creation Further develop communication skills Develop skills using industry standard software that will be used at level 3
Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English or maths at grade 3.
A range of centre assessed units with practical and wider project-based assessment opportunities. Students will practically apply their skills and knowledge in preparation for further study, apprenticeship or the workplace.
UAL Level 2 Qualification in Creative Media Production Technologies
Progression: This course will provide a strong base for progression to further study at Level 3, apprenticeships or employment.
