What will I study?

You will study a range of units which relate to good practice in the field of Health and Social Care, which include: Communicating in Health and Social Care, Professional Development in Health and Social Care, Partnership Working, Safeguarding, and Health and Safety in Health and Social Care.

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Minimum five grade 4-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 2 course, and English at grade 4 and maths at grade 3. A clear DBS check will be required.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed via a professional, recorded discussion, a synoptic assessment and a case study. You will also build up a professional practice portfolio and this is part of your professional practice whilst on mandatory placement. All of this is supported by your tutors

What qualification will I achieve?

You will gain the CACHE Level 3 Technical Certificate in Health and Social Care.

What can I do after completing this course?

You could apply for the Diploma in Health and Social Care or go straight into employment in the field of health and social care, including the fields of health and social work or mental health care.

Are there any extra costs?

There is a charge of £50 for uniform, £35 materials and £15 for educational visits
